What Does NDIS Stand For?

The National Disability Insurance Scheme is an Australian government initiative to help people with a disability live as much of a normal life as possible. In Australia, there are about 4.3 million people with disability. The NDIS aims to provide 500,000 people who have a significant or permanent disability an NDIS Provider, funding, and support services. Once it is fully implemented, the NDIS is expecting that 475,000 people will receive individualised support from around $22 billion each year. This allows Australians to get the day-to-day care they really need.

NDIS Eligibility

You may be wondering if you or a loved one you are caring for has NDIS Service Providers eligibility. There are five key details that will determine whether the person is eligible. First, the person should be within the ages of seven and 65. If you have a child under seven or an elder above 65, there are other specific assistance programs for them to receive support.


Next, you do need to be an Australian resident and citizen. If you aren’t originally from Australia but have a Permanent or Special Category Visa you are eligible for support from an NDIS Service Provider like CaRelief. Furthermore, if you typically need support from another person, utilise special equipment, or require support to reduce future needs, you should submit an NDIS application.

Application Process & NDIS Funding

After you have determined you or your loved one is eligible to receive assistance from a Registered NDIS Provider like us, you should fill out an application. First, you’ll need to complete an Access Request form. If you require assistance with the form, contact your Local Area Coordinator CaRelief immediately.



You will be asked some questions, which include confirming your identity or give another person the authority to act on your behalf. In addition, you will have to provide consent, information about your disability, and ways that it impacts your or your loved one’s daily life.




This will help determine your funding. There are three options for managing the money you receive from the NDIS. You can self-manage, plan-manage, or have the NDIS manage it. However you choose to manage your funding, you will have the choice to control your services to fit your budget and your needs.

NDIS Plan Management

Once you are approved for NDIS Provide Brisbane, you will work with the plan managers to create a support system that works for you or your loved one. It begins with preparing for your meeting by gathering the information on your disability and how it negatively affects your day-to-day.


This meeting will help you plan to achieve your goals, manage your support funding, and receive your approved plan. Then you can utilise your plan from the NDIS Service Provider Brisbane such as us and receive the personal assistance and funding to improve your life.
